Course 101

Spiritual Boot Camp

Instructor: Oretha Riggins

A 12-week course in the fundamentals of the Christian faith, basic training for the spiritual challenges believers may encounter.

Course 102

Finding My S.H.A.P.E.

Instructor: Calandra Broussard

Helps students find and fulfill God's specific purpose for their life through the S.H.A.P.E. framework: Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, Experience.

Requirements

  • Complete the course workbook
  • Volunteer in a church-approved ministry before Session 5, with at least a 90-day assignment
  • Ministry connection confirmed by Session 5; class materials due Session 6/7
Course 103

Discovering Spiritual Maturity

Instructor: Jerry Martin

Focuses on four basic habits every Christian needs to grow in spiritual maturity: Bible engagement, daily time with God, prayer, and tithing/fellowship.

  • Read the Book of 1 John, one chapter per day, starting week one

A devotional-style study designed to be worked one lesson at a time rather than read cover-to-cover, helping students develop Christ's way of thinking and living.

Intercessory Prayer

Instructor: Pam Alfred

Refreshes and inspires believers on the importance of prayer and how God partners with us through it.

12 sessions; midterm at Session 6

Requirements

  • Attend 6 live Intercessory Prayer sessions during the term, in addition to class
  • Sunday mornings, 8:30 AM (join by 9:00 AM for credit)
  • Tuesdays, 12:00 PM (join by 12:30 PM for credit)
  • Final paper due December 13, 2026
Course B142

Journey of a Lifetime

Instructor: Jane Mitchell

A whole-Bible survey that gives a working knowledge of every book of the Bible and study of its most significant chapters.

12 sessions + final session

  • Workbook and take-home assessment due December 13, 2026

Shared schedule rhythm

Sessions run weekly on Sundays from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, beginning September 6, with a break on October 18 (semester break) and November 29 (Thanksgiving). Session-by-session lesson topics are listed in each course's printed syllabus, available from your instructor.
